shep rocks

I feel like dying

I thought by now I'd be feeling better, but today has been the worst day yet.  Today my stomach felt awful.  No more smiling through the sickness as if nothing is wrong... I want to keel over now.  The cough kept me up for a long time last night.  I finally get to sleep after tossing and turning for over an hour AND I get woken up shortly after.  It was a horrible noise coming from the Flagler Room.  I'm not sure what it was but it sounded like a BIG TV turned all of the way up on a static channel going in and out.  My dorm shares a wall with the Flagler Room!  There's actually a locked door to the Flagler Room out to the left of my dorm door.  Usually, it's pretty cool, because the chorus practices in there and we get to hear that some days along with the piano.  You can hear them through the wall and through the cracks of the door clearly.  This noise was unbearable though.  If it didn't fluctuate, I may have been able to tune it out and sleep, but the patterns of the sounds kept changing.  It was driving me nuts.  After about another hour of trying to get back to sleep, I got up and went to campus security.

The courtyard is cold and deserted.  It's freakin' 5 AM!  So there I am in my PJs, no make up, my hair is a mess, can't see (no contacts in), miserably sick and I'm trying to explain the problem to the one security lady in the rotunda.  After about 10 minutes I finally get her to come out of her plastic (bullet proof?) security box and listen to the insane sound coming through the double doors, which lead from the rotunda to the Flagler Room.  Security lady doesn't no what to do and says that door is alarmed, she can't go in and check it out.  She finally says she'll try to get maintenaince to check it out.  So I go back to my room, totally pissed off at this point.  I grumble, get in bed, and the sound gets louder.  Roomie finally wakes up and is wondering what the hell is going on, so I bitch to her about it.  At about 5:30 we hear the sound stop and the sounds of someone in the Flagler Room.  All in all I got about 3 hours sleep, because I had to wake up early and work before class this afternoon.  Luckily, we didn't get to my presentation today.  I felt sick to my stomach.

Can't wait for this day to end.  I'm drowning myself in NyQuil tonight.  In fact, I'm going to do that now.  I don't want to be awake another hour of today!
